Hi all. This page is basically about me,
my
family and my interests. I'll be adding stuff every now and then.
Unfortunately Quicknet finally decided to delete my pages there, so "My
old pages" are off line now. Maybe I'll add the stuff to a google sites
page in the near future.
I started listening to aircraft on HF in
the early 1980. Back then I used a Sony ICF-2001. In the early nineties
I bought a Lowe HF-225, the best receiver in it's price class ever
made. Over the years I taped hours and hours of mainly military
communications. I recently started transferring these tapes to MP3.
This site is intended to share my memories with the rest of the world.
Flickr wasn't the solution for the lack
of space problem, Picasa was. Since early 2009 I added several albums
to my Picasa site.
Septemer 13th 2007 I visited Wittmundhafen. This is an air force base in the northern part of Germany. It's a sort of flying museum there, with F-4F Phantoms and A-4N Skyhawks. The weather wasn't that good, but we had a nice day and spotted 15 Phantoms and 4 Skyhawks.
The Harlem Globetrotters pinball machine is working. Henk Schippers did the repair works in march, since then we've had a lot of fun playing pinball! This page shows some more detailed pictures of the machine. The pictures are hosted at Flickr because I ran out of space with Versatel.
My wife Joke has assembled a working pinball machine with a Spongebob Squarepants theme. The kids love it and so do I! Another devolopment is the arrival of a real "Harlem Globetrotters on tour" Pinball Machine at my house. See the pictures! Great stuff. I hope we'll get it working one day...

In october 2006 I visited Switzerland together with Joop de Groot. Our destination was Meiringen, a main Swiss Air Force base. We stayed for a week, in the middle of which we went to the Axalp demo. I took 580 pictures, 99 can be seen on this page. Lots of Hornets and Tigers! |

Leeuwarden Air Show 2006 pictures
The Royal Netherlands Air Force Open House for 2006 was at Leeuwarden. On this page you can see 56 pictures I took. Highlights for me where the Blue Angels, the Czech Saab Gripen and of course the Beaver. I was at Leeuwarden on friday june 16th, the weather wasn't that good I'm afraid.
