Beside my genealogical interest something more can be told about me.

I like sailing and I spent all my holidays in the past 15 years with 'boating'.

A great part I sailed in the nice Greek and Turk waters of the Aegean Sea, mostly on Sailing Yacht Elessar.

We offered 'our' skipper in february 2000 a memory book with lots of stories and over 100 photo's of the Elessar and her trips. A big extract (including lots of pictures), but texts are only in Dutch.

Among numerous trips the entries to the Marmaris Race Week's were the most splendid holidays. Both serious training and racing as relaxing and sometimes luxurious parties came together in the Marmaris environment.

For 12 years skipper/owner Eugène Reijmers was a perfect host, making special trips for regular guests. Since a few years he is back in Holland again earning a living with boating.

Another skipper to be mentioned is Diederick van Gelder who sailed the Elessar in 1998 and 1999. Afterwards he sailed the Aldebaran and at the moment he sails the Engelina in the Baltic Sea. Some pictures of Diederick and his last trips on the Elessar.

Of course, we knew the Elessar was 'for sale'.... But she really was sold in february 2000.

Some other pictures I took myself in past seasons aboard the Elessar.

On the way to holiday............ (Sailing is nice but this is also a nice picture)
