The
Roll the Dice IV is a rather simple 4-line design, consisting of two
joint hexagons from white Icarex. Black Icarex is used to imitate
the eyes and ribs of the dices and black bias-band is used to
strengthen the outer perimeter of the kite. The initial frame of the
kite consisted of two diagonal spreaders and two spines. This idea
is now changed into one horizontal spreader, sticking out on both
sides of the kite, and two vertical spines to allow more
flexibility. The Roll the Dice V makes use of the same principles
developed for the Vluis; instead of using a perfect fitting
spreader, it is slightly shortened to obtain flexible spines in the
two dices. The lines are directly connected to the upper and lower
extremities of the kite.
