The UK band Abigail's
Mercy started out as an idea of Terry (rhythm guitar) who wanted to play
original music. He started the band together with Mark (drums) and Lindsey (lead
vocals). They had a bit of a hard time finding a bass player but they found
Steve in an audition (it is said he was the only one to audition, so it was easy
to make a choice). They also couldn’t find a good male singer but when Steve
started doing back up singing they decided to let him do male lead vocals as
well.
The band name is inspired
by Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, a story about the witch trials in Salem.
They say there music is
Goth music in its original form combined with a lot of rock. With two lead
vocalist and a powerful rhythm section the band has toured a lot around the UK.
