Pictures of my koi
Here some pictures of the koi I own. A few koi have changed over the period after building my new pond so it was time for a more recent overview

I am finished constructing my pond and a few koi have changed. I have now 11 koi in difference sizes between 35 cm and 65 cm. Because of all the different colors I now have to agree with the persons I have spoken to in the past who told me sooner or later we all turn to the Go-Sanke variety and indeed it happened and I am looking for some more red in my pond. Last year I bought a showa with a lot of red and this year I was going to look for a nice nidan kohaku or a tancho showa( as this is the type of fish I would love to have in my pond , bust most of the time they are not affordable)
As U can see in the picture above I found one. A friend of mine picked it out in Japan and he reassured me that the black has to develop, He himself has a showa from the same breeder ( takehashi ) and saw the sumi develop incredibly in a period of 1 year, so I took the risk of buying a koi which has to develop.
So still my eyes are open for a beautiful nidan kohaku , but I always say a person has to have a certain desire otherwise visiting koishops wouldn't be that fun.
My pond is 11000 liter and now I can hold up to a 13 koi or so cause I don't want to overstock my pond and create problems concerning the quality of my water. And if the koi grow I will bring that number down to I guess 11 koi.
