Global statistics of Christianity
Missonaries of the Assemblies of God have stated that 10.000 people
are each day converted to faith in Jesus Christ. But another fact is that
there are daily more babies born than the number of conversions to Christ.
Afrika
Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke continues with his massive evangelistic
campaigns in Africa, where hundred thousands, even millions of people hear
the Gospel preached by him and see the mighty miracles. To this continent
he was specially called in his youth to preach the Gospel. This year evangelist
Bonnke is conducting evangelistic campaigns in Nigeria and conferences
in other countries. Many turn to Christ, leaders as well. Miracles take
place, even dead are being raised by faith in the mighty Name of Jesus.
Churches are cooperating with him in this continued massive outreach with

South America
Missionaries report that native evangelists are going to reach the
last unreached tribes in the Amazone region.
North America
There are reports of conversion of whole villages
of the Northern tribes (Eskimo's etc) in Canada.
Europe
There are some growing Churches, but they
seem to grow through Christians, who are coming from other churches. Statistical
facts show that the Church in Europe is still decreasing instead of increasing,
inspite of local awakenings and programs like the Alpha Course.

Our Global
View rests for a few moments on the land of Israel, which is prophetically
called 'The navel of the earth.' These are again troublesome times for
the people of Israel and the conflict with the Palestinian people seems
insolvable. Politicians from the west and east have done their utmost on
the diplomatic level to calm both peoples, but it has not brought an end
to the fightings on the streets and it is even now escalating between cities.
It is time for Christians to pray. The best prayer for Israel is that her
eyes will be opened for the true Messiah, Jesus Christ. He is still able
to solve this conflict with superhuman wisdom and power. God's compassion
is also for the Palestinian population, which feels the bitterness of being
robbed of her land, where they were born and have been living for generations.
God wants them also to have land to live in; read Acts 17;26.
Asia
Evangelists are reaching the most Northern
tribes and groups in Siberia, living on the vast tundras. From countries
as Bhutan and Nepal come reports of many conversions to Christ with the
result that new churches are founded. God is confirming His word with signs
following; there are reports of wonderful healings and deliverances of
oppressing spirits.
Indonesia
Missionaries are trying to reach the last
tribes in Irian Jaya with the Gospel. Bible translators are making progress
to get at least parts of the Bible written in native languages. However,
from all over Indonesia come disturbing verified reports of continual outbursts
of violence against Christian communities. Yet the Church in still
functioning. Is it true again that the blood of the martyrs is the seed
of the Church?
Australia, New Zealand &
the Islands in the Southern Pacific Ocean
Churches in Australia are reporting conversions.
From islands like e.g. Samoa, in the Pacific Ocean come reports of massive
conversions and great healing power by faith in Jesus Christ.
