Meidum

The Meidum area is the place we can find the real first attempt of piramidbuilding by King Snefru, who actually built 3 during his lifetime.

The 2nd and 3rd are at Dashur, and in fact it was the 3rd one, called the Red piramid, who was a success and had a real piramid shape, the example for the Great piramid at Gisa built by his son Cheops.
